1. Data We Collect

We collect:

  • Name, email, phone number

  • Photos and videos

  • Banuba processed video (temporary/non-stored)

  • Interests and selected activities

  • Device info, IP, OS

  • Location (when enabled)

  • Swipe & match actions

  • Chat content & block/report logs

  • Speed-dating participation (not recorded)

  • Event QR check-ins (venue attendance log)

  • In-app purchases and subscription status

2. Purpose of Collection

To:

  • Create and manage accounts

  • Recommend matches and activities

  • Enable video matching & speed-dates

  • Verify authenticity

  • Improve safety and trust

  • Process payments

  • Provide customer support

  • Analyze usage for feature improvement

We do not sell personal data.

3. Minors

Ximoo does not allow users under 18.

If we discover a minor account:

  • It will be removed

  • Data will be deleted when appropriate

  • In serious cases, authorities may be notified

We are not liable for users who lie about their age.

4. Banuba Processing

  • Used for video enhancement and authenticity checks

  • Biometric-like processing is temporary and discarded

  • We do not store biometric templates

5. Data Storage

  • Hosted on AWS Bahrain

  • PostgreSQL backend

  • Secure encryption applied

Data may be securely transferred internationally with safeguards.

6. Legal Basis

Data processed under:

  • Consent (camera, notifications, location)

  • Contract performance

  • Legitimate interest (safety, fraud prevention, matching)

  • Legal obligation where required

7. Data Sharing

We may share data with:

  • Hosting providers (AWS)

  • App stores

  • Payment processors

  • Moderation/security providers

  • Banuba (temporary video processing)

  • Event partners for attendance confirmation only

We do not sell or trade user data.

8. User Rights

Users may request:

  • Access to data

  • Correction

  • Deletion

  • Withdrawal of consent

  • Account deletion

We may retain limited fraud and safety logs.

9. Retention

Ximoo is not responsible for:

  • Misrepresentation of age or identity by users

  • Actions of users online or offline

  • Harm, emotional distress, or conflict arising from interactions

  • Underage users who circumvent age policies

  • Third-party venue interactions

Users assume full responsibility for their actions.

10. Security

We apply:

  • Encryption

  • Access controls

  • Abuse detection systems

  • Moderation & reporting tools

11. Cookies & Tracking

Ximoo may use app analytics and device IDs for:

  • Safety

  • Performance improvement

  • Fraud detection No advertising network sale without consent.

12. Updates

Changes will be posted in the app. Continued use = consent to updated policy.
